The successful candidate will design algorithms based on pattern recognition and machine learning to discover representative features in retina coding, with the goal of applying them in high level computer vision tasks such as scene categorization and object recognition.
To this purpose deep learning, sparse and dictionary learning approaches should be considered.
- PhD in computer science, mathematics, electronic engineering or a closely related field
- Experience in machine learning, pattern recognition and computer vision
- Strong programming skills
- Interest in neuroscience and biological data processing
